About the Role
We are hiring a Finance Manager for one of our high-growth startup clients in Bangalore. We are looking for a Chartered Accountant with strong exposure to startup finance, financial planning, investor reporting, and fundraising support. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with the leadership team and play a key role in driving the company's financial strategy during its growth phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the company's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and MIS reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership and investors.
- Support fundraising activities, including financial modelling, data room preparation, due diligence, and investor presentations.
- Work closely with founders and senior leadership on strategic financial decisions.
- Drive cash flow planning, working capital management, and financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory regulations, GST, TDS, ROC, and tax filings.
- Coordinate with auditors, bankers, investors, and external consultants.
- Monitor financial controls and recommend process improvements to enable scale.
- Analyze business performance, identify key financial insights, and support growth initiatives.
- Assist in board reporting and preparation of financial dashboards.
Required Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (Mandatory).
- 2–3 years of post-qualification experience.
- Prior experience working with high-growth startups or venture-backed companies is mandatory.
- Hands-on involvement in fundraising, investor due diligence, or capital raise processes.
- Strong understanding of financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and MIS.
- Excellent knowledge of Indian accounting standards, taxation, and statutory compliance.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP/accounting tools is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Preferred Background
- Experience in Series A/B/C funded startups.
- Exposure to investor relations and board reporting.
- Experience working directly with founders or CXOs.
- Familiarity with SaaS, Consumer Tech, FinTech, D2C, or other high-growth startup ecosystems will be an advantage.
