Job Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust Java-based automation frameworks covering APIs, backend services, web applications, and mobile platforms.
- Build scalable automation suites using Selenium and Appium while improving automation stability, maintainability, execution speed, and overall test coverage.
- Perform API validation, database verification using SQL, test data management, and end-to-end debugging across application, database, cache, and cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, QA teams, and stakeholders to investigate defects, identify root causes, and ensure timely resolution.
- Develop regression suites, improve release quality, contribute to test strategy, and ensure high-quality software delivery across large-scale consumer applications.
- Continuously improve automation frameworks, testing processes, quality metrics, and engineering best practices across the software development lifecycle.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 2–3 years of experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, Software Test Engineer, or Automation Test Engineer with strong hands-on Java programming skills.
- Strong experience in API testing, including REST services, request/response validation, negative testing, test data management, and service debugging.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Appium for web and mobile automation testing.
- Good understanding of SQL, database validation, AWS fundamentals, Redis/cache concepts, and debugging across distributed systems.
- Experience working in Agile environments with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and software development best practices.
- Python knowledge is a plus, but strong Java automation skills, analytical thinking, and debugging capabilities are the primary requirements.
