Role Description This is a part-time Industrial Designer role based in Noida, structured as a hybrid position with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. The Industrial Designer will be responsible for developing product concepts from initial sketches through detailed 3D models, prototyping, and preparation for manufacturing. Day-to-day tasks include conducting user and market research, applying design thinking methods to solve complex problems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as engineering, marketing, and production. The role involves iterating on designs based on feedback, refining ergonomics and usability, and ensuring that products meet both functional and aesthetic requirements. The Industrial Designer will also prepare design documentation, presentations, and specifications to support product development and client communication.
Qualifications:
- Candidates should possess strong Industrial Design and Product Design skills, with the ability to translate user needs into practical, visually compelling solutions.
- Candidates should possess hands-on Prototyping and Product Development skills, including creating models, testing concepts, and refining designs for production.
- Candidates should possess Design Thinking skills, with experience in research, ideation, and iterative problem-solving across the product design lifecycle.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in relevant design and CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360, KeyShot) and be comfortable preparing technical drawings and specifications.
- Candidates should possess strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working on consumer products or physical product design projects; familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials is beneficial.
- A portfolio demonstrating completed industrial or product design projects, showcasing concept development, prototyping, and final outcomes.
