We are currently hiring for the role of a Hr. Head (Lead) with a Leading company based in Mumbai.
Designation-HR Lead
Location-Andheri/WFO
Shift: 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.(Half Day working)/ with Sunday as a fixed off day.
Salary: Up to 12lpa
Exp:10-14yrs exp
Requires excellent communication skills and immediate joiners
Need Graduate/Post Graduate with 10+yrs of experience.
About the Role: We are looking for an experienced HR Lead to lead the complete HR function. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Payroll, Statutory Compliance, Labour Laws, HR Operations, and Generalist HR, along with the ability to independently lead and manage the HR team.
Preferred Candidate
Ideal Candidate: A strong HR professional who can independently lead the HR function, manage the HR team, ensure payroll and statutory compliance, handle labour-law matters, and act as a strategic HR partner to the management.
Candidate Profile
Education: MBA/PGDM in HR / Human Resources or equivalent qualification preferred.
Experience: 10–14 years of relevant HR experience, with significant experience in:
- Payroll & Compensation
- Statutory Compliance
- Labour Laws
- HR Operations
- Employee Relations
- HR Generalist activities
- Team Management
Key Responsibilities
1. Payroll & Compensation
- Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate salary closure.
- Manage payroll inputs related to attendance, leave, incentives, deductions, reimbursements, F&F, etc.
- Ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, TDS and other applicable statutory deductions.
- Review salary structures, CTC, increments, promotions and compensation-related matters.
- Coordinate with Finance/Accounts and payroll teams for accurate payroll processing.
2. Statutory Compliance & Labour Laws
- Ensure compliance with applicable Indian Labour Laws and statutory requirements.
- Manage PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Gratuity, Bonus, Minimum Wages, Payment of Wages, Shops & Establishments and other applicable compliances.
- Monitor statutory registers, returns, notices, inspections and documentation.
- Handle labour department queries, inspections, audits and compliance-related matters.
- Keep the organization updated on changes in labour laws and statutory requirements.
3. HR Operations & Generalist Responsibilities
- Lead the complete employee lifecycle: joining, onboarding, confirmation, transfers, promotions, performance management and separation, employee engagement and training activities.
- Manage HR policies, SOPs, processes and employee documentation.
- Oversee attendance, leave, HRMS and employee records.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters and employee relations.
- Drive employee engagement, retention and HR initiatives.
- Ensure proper implementation of HR policies across locations.
4. HR Team Leadership
- Lead and manage the HR team and allocate responsibilities effectively.
- Monitor team performance, HR deliverables and statutory timelines.
- Guide the HR team on recruitment, payroll, employee relations, compliance and HR operations.
- Establish standardized HR processes across departments and locations.
- Act as the escalation point for complex HR matters.
5. Recruitment & Workforce Management
- Oversee recruitment activities and manpower planning in coordination with business/function heads.
- Support hiring for critical and senior positions.
- Monitor recruitment TAT, joining ratios and manpower requirements.
- Ensure smooth onboarding and induction of new employees.
6. HR MIS, Audit & Management Reporting
- Prepare and review HR MIS, dashboards and management reports.
- Track headcount, attrition, payroll costs, recruitment status, absenteeism and other HR metrics.
- Ensure HR documentation and records are audit-ready.
- Support internal and external audits related to HR, payroll and statutory compliance.
Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of Indian Labour Laws and statutory compliance.
- Strong hands-on payroll and compensation knowledge.
- Good understanding of PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Gratuity, Bonus, TDS and Minimum Wages.
- Strong HR operations and generalist HR knowledge.
- Excellent people-management and leadership skills.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, HRMS and HR MIS.
- Ability to independently manage HR operations and lead a team.
