Your Opportunity
As a Technical Lead on BeGig, you’ll work on freelance projects focused on leading engineering teams, designing scalable software solutions, and ensuring the successful delivery of technology initiatives. You’ll provide technical direction, mentor developers, and bridge the gap between business goals and engineering execution, without the constraints of a traditional full-time role.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the design and development of scalable software solutions and technical architectures
- Define technical strategy, architecture, and implementation roadmaps
- Guide engineering teams through design, development, testing, and deployment phases
- Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering best practices and coding standards
- Mentor developers and support technical skill development within project teams
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, designers, and stakeholders to define project requirements
- Identify technical risks, resolve complex engineering challenges, and ensure timely delivery
- Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and maintainability
- Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and implementation guidelines
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience as a Technical Lead, Senior Software Engineer, or Software Architect
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or similar
- Experience designing scalable distributed systems, APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, DevOps practices, and Agile methodologies
- Experience leading engineering teams, conducting code reviews, and mentoring developers
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to balance technical excellence with business priorities and delivery timelines
- A self-driven freelancer who can independently lead complex technical projects
