Role Description The Professor or Head of Department – Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence Specialization will lead academic programs, curriculum design, and research initiatives in AI and related fields. This full-time hybrid role is based in Sadar, with a combination of on-site responsibilities such as teaching, student mentoring, and departmental meetings, alongside some work-from-home flexibility for research, course preparation, and administrative tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering lectures and labs, supervising student projects and theses, guiding faculty members, and ensuring high academic standards across courses. The role also involves developing strategic plans for the department, fostering industry partnerships, securing research funding, and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration. The Professor or Head of Department is expected to contribute to institutional governance, support inclusive learning practices, and represent the department in academic and professional forums.
Qualifications
- Advanced academic qualifications in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related discipline (PhD preferred), with a strong record of teaching and research.
- Demonstrated expertise in AI and related areas such as machine learning, data science, deep learning, or intelligent systems, with publications or applied projects in reputable venues.
- Experience in curriculum development, academic program management, and educational innovation, particularly in AI-focused undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
- Proven leadership abilities in managing academic teams or departments, including mentoring faculty, guiding students, and coordinating multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners and promote inclusive, equitable teaching practices.
- Experience securing research grants or leading collaborative research projects with industry, government, or academic partners is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with digital transformation trends, data-driven decision-making, and integrating emerging technologies into teaching and learning environments.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, balancing on-site responsibilities in Sadar with remote work, and using digital tools for collaboration and delivery.
