Role Description The JAVA AWS Tech Lead will oversee the migration of TIBCO applications to AWS using Java and Solace, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient integration across systems. This full-time remote role involves leading design and implementation of cloud architectures, guiding development teams on best practices, and coordinating migration activities from planning through deployment and stabilization. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing technical designs, writing and optimizing Java code, integrating messaging solutions such as Solace, and collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements and resolve technical issues. The Tech Lead will also ensure that security, database, and network considerations are incorporated into the solution, perform code reviews, mentor team members, and contribute to documentation and operational handover. The role requires proactive communication, ownership of deliverables, and alignment with organizational standards for quality and security.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Software Development and Programming, with hands-on expertise in Java and experience leading development teams on complex projects.
- Proficiency in Databases, including designing schemas, optimizing queries, and ensuring data integrity and performance in cloud environments.
- Solid understanding of Cybersecurity principles, including secure coding, access control, encryption, and compliance with security best practices.
- Experience in Network Security, covering secure communication, firewall and VPN concepts, and protection of services running on cloud platforms.
- Demonstrated experience with AWS services relevant to application migration and integration (e.g., EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, messaging and integration services).
- Background in migrating or integrating TIBCO-based applications, and familiarity with Solace or similar messaging technologies.
- Ability to design and document system architectures, conduct code reviews, and mentor team members in a distributed, remote environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; advanced certifications in cloud or security are an advantage.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with a focus on delivering reliable, maintainable, and secure solutions.

Strong hands-on experience in AWS and Java is mandatory.
Experience leading technical teams and driving technical solutions.
Experience in solution design.
Hands-on experience and familiarity with AI-assisted “vibecoding” using tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code,Cursor, or similar AI development platforms is preferred. Giventhe evolving nature of these technologies, practical exposureand a clear understanding of AI-assisted developmentconcepts are acceptable.
