Velocious is a Sourcing & Supplier Experience Solution for mid-to-large enterprises. The category — eSourcing, procurement, accounts payable etc.— has been defined for over two decades by incumbents. These platforms are systems of record: comprehensive, deeply entrenched, and slow. They were architected before large language models existed, and they bolt AI on as a feature rather than building operations around it.
This is a builder's seat, not a slide-deck seat. You will write code, set the standards, and own the technical truth of the platform. If you want your fingerprints on every layer of a product that ships to marquee enterprises, read on.
What You’ll Own
- End-to-End Architecture: Own the full stack—APIs, microservices, frontend, data, and cloud infrastructure—along with performance, security, and enterprise compliance.
- Low-Code / No-Code Engine: Design a metadata-driven fabric (workflows, rules, dynamic forms) that lets non-engineers configure complex procurement logic without breaking core upgrade paths.
- Native Agentic AI: Build deep LLM orchestration (LangGraph, RAG, pgvector), tool-calling agents, and guardrails with low latency, tight cost control, and zero-hallucination reliability.
- Hands-On Tech Leadership: Act as the final technical authority—setting coding standards, code reviews, and scalable CI/CD pipelines.
The Stack You’ll Govern
- Frontend & Backend: Angular, Next.js / React | Java (Spring Boot), Python (FastAPI)
- APIs & Auth: REST / OpenAPI | OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT
- Data & AI: PostgreSQL + pgvector | LangGraph, RAG, Vector Retrieval, Agentic Tool-Calling
- Cloud & ERPs: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD | SAP & Oracle integration surface
Who We’re Looking For
Core Requirements
- 12+ Years in Software: Proven track record as a Principal Engineer, Solution Architect, or Platform Tech Lead—and you still write code.
- Greenfield SaaS at Scale: Built and shipped at least one multi-tenant SaaS platform from scratch to production.
- Low-Code / No-Code Engine: Prior experience designing metadata models, rules engines, or workflow builders that non-engineers actively use.
- Production AI Depth: Hands-on experience building with LLMs, RAG, and agentic workflows—balancing latency, cost, guardrails, and reliability.
- AWS & Cloud-Native: Solid production experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes (containers, autoscaling).
- AI-First Mindset: You use tools like Claude as a primary collaborator for system design, coding, and debugging.
Bonus Points
- Domain & Integrations: Background in Procurement, Supply Chain, or S2P/P2P—with real-world experience integrating with enterprise ERPs like SAP or Oracle.
- Data Architecture: Experience with Event-Driven Architecture (Kafka, SQS), data pipelines, reporting APIs, or embedded BI.
