Role Description The Casting Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for supporting end-to-end casting activities across multiple projects. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating auditions, managing talent databases, organizing casting calls, and communicating schedules and requirements to actors, agents, and production teams. The role involves assisting with pre-production planning, preparing casting briefs, reviewing portfolios and audition tapes, and maintaining accurate records and documentation. The Casting Associate will collaborate closely with senior casting personnel and production stakeholders, ensuring smooth workflows and timely delivery of casting milestones.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, including clear verbal and written interaction with talent and production teams.
- Practical experience or strong aptitude in casting processes and talent coordination.
- Understanding of pre-production workflows, documentation, and scheduling.
- Basic familiarity or interest in singing and performance evaluation is an advantage.
- Exposure to video post-production, audition tape handling, and digital file organization.
- High level of organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency with common office and collaboration tools; experience with casting or talent management software is beneficial.
- Prior experience in casting, production, or entertainment industry roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Relevant education in film, media, performing arts, or related fields is an advantage.
