What We Want
We are seeking a new age yet experienced, execution-focused Head of Brand Positioning and Marketing to build our marketing function from the ground up for our next-level AI legal technology platform that transforms how legal work is researched, created, managed, reviewed, delegated, tracked, and delivered.
The Head of Marketing will work to understand product market category, positioning, brand, go-to-market strategy, acquisition channels, product marketing framework, enterprise demand-gen model, digital sales funnel, customer lifecycle programs, PR strategy, and marketing technology infrastructure.
The role requires marketing to two distinct but interconnected customer groups:
- Enterprise and institutional customers, including law firms, corporate legal departments, legal operations teams, and large organisations requiring consultative sales, demonstrations, pilots, procurement processes, and long-term account development.
- Individual and small-team users, including independent lawyers, consultants, legal professionals, and smaller firms who may discover, evaluate, trial, purchase, and adopt the platform through a digital or product-led journey.
Responsibilities
1. Brand Building
- Build a premium, credible and internationally relevant legal technology brand.
- Create and maintain brand positioning, messaging, tone of voice and visual communication standards.
- Ensure consistency across the website, product interface, advertisements, presentations, events, social media and sales materials.
- Lead corporate communications, media relations, product announcements and reputation management.
- Build relationships with legal, technology, business and startup journalists.
- Position founders and senior leaders as credible voices on legal innovation, artificial intelligence and the future of legal work.
- Develop thought-leadership articles, interviews, research reports, commentary and speaking opportunities.
2. Go-to-Market Strategy and Market Development
- Develop and execute the overall go-to-market strategy for product launch, market entry and subsequent growth.
- Define target markets, ideal customer profiles, buyer personas, use cases and priority segments.
- Create separate acquisition and conversion journeys for enterprise customers, law firms, corporate legal teams and individual users.
- Determine market-entry sequencing across India and selected international jurisdictions.
- Conduct market sizing, customer research, competitor analysis and category mapping.
- Identify unmet needs, adoption barriers, purchasing triggers and objections among legal professionals.
- Develop market-specific messaging based on professional role, organisation size, practice area, workflow and level of technology maturity.
3. Product Marketing and Positioning
- Define the product’s value proposition, positioning, category narrative and competitive differentiation.
- Translate technical AI capabilities into clear, credible and outcome-oriented messaging for legal professionals.
- Develop messaging frameworks for different product modules, features, personas and markets.
- Own product launches, feature announcements, release communication and adoption campaigns.
- Create product marketing assets, including product pages, brochures, pitch decks, use-case documents, comparison sheets, demonstration scripts, FAQs and implementation guides.
- Build competitor battle cards and objection-handling material for sales and customer-facing teams.
- Conduct customer interviews, win-loss analysis and usage reviews to improve positioning and product-market fit.
4. Enterprise Demand Generation and Account-Based Marketing
- Build a predictable enterprise pipeline for law firms, corporate legal departments and other institutional buyers.
- Design account-based marketing programmes for high-value target organisations.
- Develop account-specific messaging, campaigns, content and engagement plans.
- Coordinate closely with sales on target-account selection, lead qualification, outreach sequencing and opportunity progression.
- Create campaigns for different members of the buying committee, including General Counsel, Chief Legal Officers, Partners, Legal Operations teams, IT, Information Security, Finance and Procurement.
- Plan webinars, roundtables, private demonstrations, industry briefings, conferences and executive meetings.
- Develop lead-nurturing programmes for long enterprise sales cycles.
5. Digital Acquisition and Product-Led Growth
- Own paid acquisition strategy across Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta and other relevant channels.
- Personally oversee campaign architecture, audience selection, keyword strategy, ad copy, creative testing, bidding and budget allocation.
- Build acquisition funnels for free trials, demonstrations, consultations, subscriptions and product-led sign-ups.
- Develop landing pages tailored to specific customer segments, problems and product use cases.
- Run continuous conversion-rate optimisation experiments across advertisements, landing pages, registration flows and checkout journeys.
- Improve visitor-to-sign-up, sign-up-to-activation, trial-to-paid and free-to-paid conversion rates.
- Develop referral, affiliate and member-get-member programmes where commercially appropriate.
6. Lifecycle, Adoption and Retention Marketing
- Design the complete customer lifecycle from first interaction to activation, adoption, renewal and advocacy.
- Create automated email sequences, push notifications, in-app messages and educational campaigns.
- Work with product and customer-success teams to define activation events and adoption milestones.
- Develop onboarding campaigns that help users reach value quickly.
- Identify dormant, under-engaged or at-risk users and create re-engagement programmes.
- Support enterprise adoption through internal launch kits, administrator communication and user education.
- Develop upgrade, cross-sell and expansion campaigns based on product usage and customer maturity.
7. Content, SEO and Community Development

- Select and manage the marketing technology stack, including CRM, automation, analytics, attribution, email, SEO, advertising and customer-engagement tools.
- Establish lead-management processes, campaign naming conventions, data standards and reporting systems.
- Define lead-scoring, qualification and handover rules with the sales team.
- Build dashboards covering traffic, leads, sign-ups, pipeline, CAC, conversion, retention and revenue.
- Establish multi-touch attribution and campaign-performance reporting.
- Maintain reliable customer and prospect data across marketing, sales and product systems.
- Ensure marketing activities comply with applicable privacy, consent, data-protection, advertising and professional-conduct requirements.
