We are looking for an experienced QA Architect to lead the quality strategy across our products and platforms. The QA Architect will design test automation frameworks, define quality standards, and guide QA teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role that combines strong technical depth with the ability to mentor teams and work closely with development, product, and delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and own the overall QA strategy, test architecture, and quality standards for the organization.
- Design and build scalable test automation frameworks across web, mobile, API, and backend systems.
- Lead root-cause analysis of quality issues and drive process improvements to prevent recurrence.
- Set up and govern QA best practices, including test planning, coverage, and reporting standards.
- Work closely with development, DevOps, and product teams to embed quality early in the SDLC (shift-left testing).
- Guide and mentor QA engineers and leads on automation, tools, and testing techniques.
- Evaluate and introduce new QA tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Own performance, security, and reliability testing strategy along with functional testing.
- Track and report quality metrics (defect trends, test coverage, automation ROI) to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry and regulatory quality standards.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 12+ years of overall experience, with a strong background in Quality Assurance and Test Architecture.
- Proven experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks from the ground up.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Appium, or similar.
- Solid understanding of API testing tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Good understanding of programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading QA on at least 5 projects, ideally in a QA Specialist / Architect capacity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or equivalent full-time management program (12+ months).
- QA-related certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Level, CSTE, or CSQA.
- Prior experience setting up a QA Center of Excellence (CoE) or similar function.
