Position Details
Position Title: Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager – Process Design & Automation
Department: Engineering / Process Engineering
Reporting To: Engineering Manager / Process Engineering Head
Role Description
Purpose of the Role:
The role is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing processes for new product development and mass production. The incumbent will lead process design, equipment planning, jig and SPM development, automation integration, supplier coordination, and continuous process improvement to achieve productivity, quality, and cost objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct drawing study and prepare Process Specification Sheets (PSS).
· Develop Technical Specification Sheets for moulds, materials, and manufacturing processes.
· Prepare and release Process Plans during RFQ, Sample Evaluation (SE), and Production stages.
· Conduct internal Design Reviews and coordinate review requests with global engineering teams.
· Prepare Process Design Sheets for Injection Moulding and Assembly Processes.
· Develop project budgets for process design execution.
· Plan procurement of Jigs, Fixtures, SPMs, and Manufacturing Equipment.
· Develop process concepts for Jig, Fixture, and SPM manufacturing.
· Float RFQs and coordinate with suppliers for tooling and equipment procurement.
· Review and approve tooling and equipment designs submitted by suppliers.
· Monitor Tool Progress Reviews (TPR) and ensure timely project execution.
· Coordinate with global teams regarding components, tooling, and process improvements.
· Maintain routing and BOM information in SAP.
· Participate in Jig, Fixture, SPM, and Equipment trials at supplier and plant locations.
· Prepare process documentation, visual work instructions, reports, and technical presentations.
· Develop mfg. documents including SOPs, SWP, SWCT, Inspection Standards (IS), PFMEA, &Control Plans.
· Prepare and implement MSCN, ECR, and ECI related to tooling and process changes.
· Support pre-production activities and production readiness.
· Drive productivity improvement, cycle time reduction, rejection reduction, and cost optimization.
· Ensure compliance with Quality, Safety, 5S, and IATF standards.
· Support Robot Programming and PLC Programming activities for process automation.
· Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by management.

Hands-on exposure to SAP ERP and Manufacturing Documentation.
Good understanding of IATF 16949 and Automotive Core Tools.
Ability to lead process trials, design reviews, and cross-functional projects.
