About Us:
The Diecast Store (thediecaststore.in) is a curated, premium diecast collectables brand built for enthusiasts who take their collecting seriously. We're early-stage, fast-moving, and building something that blends retail, community, and collector culture, and we're looking for someone who wants real ownership, not busywork.
About the Role:
We're looking for a hands-on Operations Intern to help run the backend of a growing D2C + marketplace business. You'll work directly with the founder and the social media team, touching everything from Amazon listings to vendor sourcing to community research. This is a generalist role — perfect for someone who wants breadth, fast learning, and to see how an early-stage brand actually gets built.
Your degree doesn't matter. Your skills and ability to tackle messy situations does.
What You'll Do:
Marketplace & Website Operations
- Manage and update product listings on Amazon (uploads, cataloguing, pricing, inventory sync)
- Support website operations and product page updates
Vendor Management
- Source and identify new diecast vendors/suppliers (domestic and international)
- Reach out to and maintain relationships with existing vendor connections
- Track vendor communication, pricing, and fulfillment timelines
Research & Community
- Conduct market and competitor research (pricing, trends, new releases)
- Collect and organize community data — collector groups, forums, potential B2B leads (dealerships, corporate gifting, museums, events)
- Flag product improvement opportunities based on research and customer feedback
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate closely with the Social Media Intern on content and campaign timelines
- Act as a communication bridge across team members — keeping everyone updated and aligned
- Maintain trackers for ongoing tasks, deadlines, and follow-ups
Who we are Looking For:
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple threads at once
- Strong written communication — you'll be coordinating with vendors, team members, and researching independently
- Comfortable with spreadsheets/trackers (Google Sheets/Excel)
- Genuine interest in e-commerce, operations, or collector/hobbyist culture (bonus if you know diecast/automotive collecting!)
- Self-starter who can work independently in a remote, flexible-hours setup
- Prior experience with Amazon Seller Central is a plus, not mandatory — we'll train you
What you will Gain:
- Real, end-to-end ownership of operations at an early-stage D2C brand
- Direct mentorship and access to the founder
- Exposure to marketplace operations, vendor management, and community-led growth
- Certificate + LOR based on performance
- A front-row seat to building a brand from the ground up
