Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Founding Product Engineer focused on Full-Stack, DevOps, and AI at FinB. The role involves architecting and building end-to-end product features, from backend APIs and data pipelines to front-end interfaces. The engineer will design and implement scalable infrastructure, manage CI/CD workflows, and ensure reliability, observability, and security of production systems. Day-to-day work includes experimenting with AI models and data processing techniques, collaborating on product design, conducting technical research, and translating complex financial requirements into robust, user-centric solutions. This role will work closely with founders and cross-functional partners to shape product roadmap, set engineering best practices, and contribute to a strong engineering culture.
Qualifications
- Strong Product Engineering skills, including full-stack development, system architecture, and ownership of end-to-end features.
- Applied Analytical Skills for interpreting complex datasets, debugging issues, and making data-driven product and technical decisions.
- Product Design and user-centric thinking to translate requirements into intuitive, performant workflows and interfaces.
- Research and Development (R&D) capabilities to prototype, evaluate, and iterate on AI-driven and infrastructure solutions.
- Clear, structured Communication skills for collaboration with founders, customers, and cross-functional partners.
- Experience with modern web technologies (e.g., TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, React, Node.js, or similar) and relational/noSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, APIs, or frameworks and an interest in applying them to financial decisioning and automation.
- Comfort working in an early-stage environment, with high ownership, rapid iteration, and a focus on secure, compliant systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
