Job Description
- Develop 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Create repair procedures, work instructions, and engineering specifications.
- Evaluate damaged components and recommend appropriate repair methodologies.
- Support repair technologies including welding, hardfacing, thermal spray coatings, machining, and surface treatments.
- Conduct failure investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Responsibilities
- Improve component reliability, repairability, and lifecycle cost performance.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Field Operations teams.
- Maintain engineering documentation within Windchill and applicable PDM systems.
- Support supplier qualification, manufacturing reviews, and field investigations.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
- 6–8+ years in Mechanical, Repair, Manufacturing, or Sustaining Engineering within Oil & Gas.
- Experience with Drilling Services, Wireline Services, or Downhole Tools preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical Design, GD&T, Engineering Materials, Manufacturing Processes, and DFM principles.
Technical Skills
- 3D CAD
- Engineering Drawings & BOM Management
- Product Data Management (PDM)
Preferred
- Knowledge of API standards and Oil & Gas engineering practices.
- Familiarity with ASME Section IX and welding qualifications.
- Experience with hardfacing, thermal spray coatings, and surface engineering.
- Exposure to FEA and engineering analysis tools.
- Autodesk Inventor Experience
- Windchill PLM & AutoCAD
