Job Description:
- Location: Mumbai (Bandra Kurla Complex)
- Experience: Analyst: 1-2 years; Associate: 2-4 years
- Relevant experience in Private Credit, NBFC Credit, Structured Finance or PE.
- Education: CA / CFA / MBA from a reputed institute
- Compensation: Competitive, with carry/equity participation based on tenure.
- Role Purpose: We are seeking a high-caliber professional to join our founding investment team. The candidate will play a dual role, bridging the gap between Strategic Business Development Research and Credit Underwriting.
- Market Intelligence & Origination Support: Conduct deep-dive research into specific sectors and capital structures to identify potential deal flow and "white spaces" for private credit deployment.
- Credit Underwriting & Analysis: Perform comprehensive financial modeling, including sensitivity analysis and cash flow projections, to assess the creditworthiness of mid-market borrowers.
- Due Diligence: Manage the end-to-end due diligence process, coordinating with external legal, tax, and technical consultants to validate investment hypotheses.
- Transaction Structuring: Assist senior management in designing bespoke credit instruments (NCDs, OCDs, etc.) that balance borrower requirements with investor protection and yield targets.
- Investment Documentation: Drafting detailed Investment Committee (IC) notes, term sheets, and definitive agreements, ensuring all risk mitigants are clearly articulated.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Post-investment tracking of borrower performance against financial covenants and operating milestones to ensure timely exit and capital preservation.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to look beyond audited financials to understand the underlying business drivers and potential stress points in a credit structure.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for presenting complex credit cases to the Investment Committee. High EQ to manage borrower and consultant relationships.
- Regulatory Understanding: Understanding RBI IRAC provisions/ SEBI AIF regulations and corporate law would be an advantage.
- Scope & Ownership: Responsibilities will scale with experience — from analytical and origination support at the Analyst level to independently leading workstreams, borrower engagement, and IC documentation at the Associate level.
