Role Description The Venture Scout will work from home in a full-time capacity, identifying promising early-stage startups and assessing their investment readiness. Day-to-day activities include sourcing potential ventures through events, networks, and digital channels, conducting preliminary market and financial research, and evaluating founder profiles and business models. The role involves collaborating with the internal team to prepare investor-ready summaries, organizing and maintaining startup deal pipelines, and facilitating introductions between qualified founders and verified investors. The Venture Scout will also gather feedback from investors, help refine startup materials to meet platform standards, and contribute insights to improve VC READY PRO’s scouting and evaluation processes.
Qualifications
- Ability to conduct structured market, competitor, and financial research, and synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights.
- Skills in evaluating startup metrics, understanding fundraising terms, and assessing business models and traction.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills to engage founders, investors, and ecosystem partners professionally.
- Comfort with digital tools and platforms used for data rooms, document management, and pipeline tracking.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field or prior VC/startup experience is an advantage.
- Demonstrated interest in the startup and venture capital ecosystem, especially early-stage technology ventures.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple opportunities simultaneously, and maintain high ethical and professional standards.
