The Role
You are being hired to build applications, internal tools, custom integrations, and productised
software using AI-assisted development as your default method. You will work across these
domains:
- Multi-tenant HubSpot integrations for clients
- Productised SaaS tools that the comapny will provide to clients
- Internal tools and automation for the company''''s operations
You will own the full lifecycle: scoping, architecture, development, deployment, and
maintenance. This is not a ticket-taker role. You will be expected to think strategically about
what to build, propose solutions, prepare project plans and product roadmaps and ship
production grade software.
What You Will Build
These are representative, not exhaustive. The role will evolve as the company''''s scales.
- Integrations between HubSpot and external platforms (ERPs, JMS etc.)
- Authentication and user management systems for client-facing applications
- Productised audit tools, assessment calculators, and self-serve diagnostic apps
- AI workflow automation using Claude, Make.com, n8n, or custom API orchestration
Technical Requirements
Must Haves
- High proficiency with AI-assisted development tools. You use Claude Code, Cursor,
Codex, or equivalent as your primary development workflow. As standard practice.
- HubSpot APIs and integrations. Direct experience with HubSpot''''s API ecosystem
(CRM, Marketing, Custom Objects, Workflows API, Webhooks).
Job Description
- Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers and AI agent frameworks
- Strong full-stack development skills. Comfortable building complete applications
from frontend to backend to database. Core stack: TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js,
React or Next.js or equivalent.
- Database design and management. PostgreSQL, MySQL, or equivalent relational
databases. Ability to design schemas, write efficient queries, and manage migrations.
- Authentication, authorisation and data security. Experience implementing auth
systems (OAuth 2.0, JWT, session management, role-based access control).
- API design and integration. RESTful APIs, webhooks, and third-party API integration.
Experience consuming and building APIs for production use.
- DevOps and deployment. You deploy, monitor, and maintain what you build.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Vercel, Railway, or similar), CI/CD pipelines,
Docker, and basic infrastructure management.
- Version control. Git proficiency. Clean commit history. Branching strategy.
Strong Preferences (Highly Valued)
- Workflow automation platforms. Hands-on experience with Make.com, n8n, or Zapier
for building and maintaining automated workflows.
- Experience with Python for scripting, data processing, or AI/ML integration
- Serverless architecture (AWS Lambda, Vercel Functions, Cloudflare Workers)
- Experience building multi-tenant SaaS applications
- Understanding of data pipelines and ETL processes
- Familiarity with HubSpot''''s Data Hub and Custom Coded Workflows
Experience And Profile
- 3 to 6 years of professional software development experience
- Demonstrable portfolio of shipped applications (live products or tools)
- Evidence of AI-first development practice. Show us your workflow. We want to see
how you use AI tools to accelerate output, not just that you have heard of them.
- Experience working in a consultancy, agency, or product environment is a strong plus.
You understand client delivery timelines and scope management.
- Self-directed. You do not need someone to write your tasks. You take a business
problem and turn it into a working solution.
- Strong communication in English. You’ll be collaborating with leadership in Australia.
