Job Purpose
To architect, build, and own Vyoma’s proprietary cloud stack and platform IP, enabling the launch and scale of enterprisegrade cloud services. The role provides hands-on technical leadership and architectural governance across the full lifecycle—from core cloud platform components to supporting applications and integrations. The incumbent will define cloud-native architecture, API and integration frameworks, and extensibility models, and lead engineering teams in building a scalable, secure, and compliant cloud platform. This role ensures that Vyoma’s cloud stack IP
aligns with product strategy, sovereign cloud requirements, security-by-design principles, and enterprise compliance standards, translating strategic intent into market-ready cloud services.
Role Description

API & Integration Architecture:
• Strong expertise in API architecture and design – REST, GraphQL, gRPC
• Deep understanding of Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP)
• Event-driven and message-based architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub)
• API lifecycle management – versioning, throttling, monetization, documentation Cloud-Native & Platform Architecture:
• Experience across hybrid and multi-cloud environments – OpenStack, VMware & hyperscale
cloud AWS, Azure, GCP
• Microservices, containerization, Kubernetes, service mesh
• High availability, resiliency, scalability, and DR architectures
Security, Identity & Compliance:
• OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT
• API Gateway, WAF, Zero Trust concepts

Automation, DevOps & Orchestration:

• Architect and build Vyoma’s proprietary IP-led cloud platform and core services.
• Lead end-to-end product engineering, translating roadmap into scalable, cloud-native solutions.
• Define and govern API, integration, and extensibility architecture.
• Ensure platform security, reliability, compliance, and performance by design.
• Drive cloud-native engineering, automation, and
DevOps practices.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and
architecture governance across teams.
• Collaborate with product, security, pre-sales, and delivery to enable successful cloud service launches.
• Reference architectures and reusable design patterns
• Performance tuning and capacity planning
Experience & Educational Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (degree, training, or certification required)
BE/B-Tech or equivalent with Computer Science or Electronics & Communication
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: (no. of years of technical, functional, and/or leadership experience or specific exposure required)
• 15+ years of experience in enterprise application development, system design, and architecture, with a strong focus on API-first and integration-led platforms.
• Proven experience leading end-to-end architecture for large-scale, business-critical systems across on-prem, private cloud, and public cloud environments.
• Extensive hands-on experience designing and governing REST, GraphQL, and gRPC-based APIs for internal and external consumers at enterprise scale.
• Strong background in defining and implementing enterprise integration patterns, including synchronous, asynchronous, and event-driven architectures.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing cloud-native microservices architectures, ensuring scalability, fault tolerance, and high availability.
• Hands-on experience working across OpenStack, VMware, AWS, Azure, and GCP, including hybrid and multicloud deployment models.
• Deep experience in API security and identity standards, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, and secure API Gateway implementations.
• Proven track record of embedding security-by-design, compliance, and governance into architecture and development lifecycles.
• Strong experience with automation, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code, enabling faster, reliable, and repeatable deployments.
• Expertise in defining architecture standards, reference architectures, and reusable frameworks across engineering teams.
• Experience leading architecture reviews, design forums, and technical governance boards.
• Strong mentoring experience, guiding senior developers, tech leads, and architects on design, coding standards, and best practices.
• Ability to translate business and non-functional requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions.
• Experience collaborating with product management, security, operations, and leadership teams to align technology with business outcomes.
• Proven capability to evaluate emerging technologies and drive modernization, platform evolution, and technical
debt reduction initiatives.
