Join a team developing next-generation indigenous precision mechanical systems for advanced engineering applications. If you are passionate about designing compact, high-reliability mechanisms and taking products from concept to production, we'd like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop precision mechanical mechanisms and assemblies.
- Design compact moving mechanisms involving springs, pins, levers, cams, and locking systems.
- Develop complete 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings, and GD&T.
- Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
- Work closely with machining, prototyping, quality, and assembly teams to validate designs.
- Lead prototype development, testing, root cause analysis, and design improvements.
- Optimize products for manufacturability, reliability, performance, and cost.
- Coordinate with vendors for precision manufacturing, tooling, heat treatment, and surface finishing.
- Support transition from prototype to batch production.
Required Skills
✅ Strong expertise in precision mechanism design
✅ Excellent knowledge of:
- SolidWorks / Creo / Siemens NX / Fusion 360
- GD&T and tolerance stack-up
- Precision machining (VMC, CNC, EDM, Grinding)
- Materials selection and heat treatment
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM) & Design for Assembly (DFA)
- Precision fits, bearings, springs, shafts, and fasteners
- Failure analysis and engineering problem solving
- Prototype development and validation
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in precision mechanical product design and development.
