Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Head of AI to lead the strategy, design, and delivery of AI solutions across a large education-focused organisation. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement to drive digital transformation, improve student outcomes, and increase operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the AI roadmap aligned with academic and operational goals
- Identify and deliver high-impact AI use cases across admissions, student success, teaching & learning, and automation
- Design, build, and deploy machine learning and generative AI solutions in production
- Integrate AI capabilities with enterprise systems (LMS, SIS, CRM, ERP, data platforms)
- Implement MLOps best practices, data governance, and responsible AI frameworks
- Support AI adoption through training, workshops, and cross-functional collaboration
Required Experience & Skills
- 10+ years of experience in AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics
- Strong hands-on experience with Python, ML/DL frameworks, and generative AI (LLMs)
- Experience deploying AI solutions in production using MLOps frameworks
- Cloud experience (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP acceptable)
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
Preferred
- Degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field
- Experience in higher education or EdTech environments
