📍 Work Location: Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair), Andaman & Nicobar Islands
A reputed marine engineering and ship repair company is looking for an experienced and dynamic Chief Technical Manager to lead its technical operations.
Position: Chief Technical Manager
Eligibility
✅ Mechanical Engineering Graduate OR
✅ MEO Class II OR
✅ MEO (NCV) Chief Engineer
✅ Minimum 5 years' experience in the operation and maintenance of vessels with 3000 kW propulsion power or above.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the team of technical staff and technicians.
- Plan, estimate, and execute onboard repair and maintenance works.
- Prepare cost estimates and competitive bids for tenders.
- Ensure repair works are completed efficiently within the approved tender value.
- Coordinate with clients and statutory authorities including:
- Indian Coast Guard
- Indian Navy
- Cochin Shipyard Ltd.
- IRS
- MMD
- Other maritime organizations
- Source and procure ship repair spares and materials.
- Submit regular technical reports to the Director.
- Maintain excellent customer relations and develop new business opportunities.
- Handle commercial and technical discussions professionally.
