Job Summary
We are looking for Backend Technical Lead with proven experience designing and leading large-scale SaaS platforms. This role requires strong architectural ownership, deep expertise in distributed and event-driven systems, and the ability to guide teams in building highly scalable, reliable products.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and define backend architecture for the SaaS platform
- Design and lead implementation of distributed, event-driven systems
- Drive platform-wide usage of Kafka-based messaging architectures
- Define data strategies using SQL, NoSQL, and graph databases
- Ensure scalability, availability, security, and performance
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to teams
- Review system designs, code, and architectural decisions
- Collaborate with product, DevOps, and leadership teams
- Lead incident reviews, architectural improvements, and long-term roadmap
- Support hiring, technical evaluations, and team growth
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software development experience
- Expert-level proficiency in Python (must)
- Strong experience designing distributed systems at scale
- Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Strong experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures
- Proven experience building and scaling SaaS platforms
- Strong system design and architectural skills
- Experience leading technical teams and large codebases
- Strong understanding of microservices, reliability, and scalability patterns
- Extensive experience in Linux-based production environments
Good to Have
- Experience with graph databases (Neo4j, JanusGraph, etc.)
- Strong hands-on experience with Java
- Experience with Kubernetes, cloud-native platforms
- Knowledge of security, authentication, and data protection practices
