Role Description The Software Engineer (AI/ML, Python & AWS) is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater Kuala Lumpur. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and AI/ML solutions using Python and AWS, with a focus on performance, security, and scalability. Day-to-day tasks include implementing machine learning models, building and integrating APIs, optimizing data pipelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as product, data, and DevOps. The role also involves writing clean, tested, and maintainable code, participating in code reviews, troubleshooting production issues, and contributing to the design and architecture of cloud-native applications that support mobile and web platforms.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
- Hands-on experience in Software Development and Programming, with proficiency in Python and familiarity with AI/ML frameworks.
- Knowledge of Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration with AWS cloud services.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and ability to design modular, reusable, and maintainable code.
- Experience deploying and managing applications on AWS (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, SageMaker or similar services).
- Familiarity with data processing, model training, evaluation, and MLOps best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team, communicate technical concepts clearly, and adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Experience with version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is an advantage.
