About the Role
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate the CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and automation platforms that power our engineering organization. The ideal candidate is hands-on with Azure DevOps and Bitbucket, fluent in modern infrastructure-as-code practices, and comfortable owning production reliability end-to-end. You will partner with development, QA, and security teams to accelerate delivery while raising the bar on stability, observability, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts, Boards) and Bitbucket Pipelines to support multiple product teams.
Manage source control workflows, branching strategies (GitFlow/trunk-based), pull-request policies, and code quality gates across Azure Repos and Bitbucket.
Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, ARM/Bicep, or equivalent to provision Azure resources in a repeatable, auditable manner.
Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate workloads on Kubernetes (AKS preferred), including Helm chart authoring and lifecycle management.
Implement and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
Drive DevSecOps practices: secrets management (Key Vault), SAST/DAST integration, container scanning, and compliance automation within pipelines.
Own production reliability — incident response, root-cause analysis, capacity planning, and continuous improvement of SLOs and runbooks.
Optimize build, release, and cloud infrastructure costs; identify and remove bottlenecks in the delivery lifecycle.
Mentor junior engineers, review automation code, and champion DevOps best practices across the organization.
Required Skills & Experience
5–8 years of hands-on DevOps / SRE / Platform Engineering experience in production environments.
Strong expertise in Azure DevOps — Pipelines (YAML), Repos, Artifacts, Boards, service connections, agent pools, and release gates.
Strong expertise in Bitbucket and Bitbucket Pipelines, including bitbucket-pipelines.yml authoring, deployment environments, and integration with Jira.
Proficiency in Microsoft Azure services: AKS, App Service, Functions, Storage, Networking (VNet, NSG, Application Gateway), Key Vault, and IAM.
Solid scripting and automation skills in PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform (preferred), ARM templates, or Bicep.
Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (AKS), including Helm, ingress controllers, and workload security.
Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
Working knowledge of monitoring and observability stacks: Azure Monitor, App Insights, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
Solid understanding of networking, Linux/Windows system administration, and cloud security fundamentals.
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline — or equivalent practical experience.
Soft Skills
Strong ownership mindset, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to collaborate effectively across geographically distributed teams. Comfortable navigating ambiguity, prioritizing pragmatically, and mentoring engineers at varying experience levels.
