About warpSpeed
warpSpeed is building an AI-powered productivity platform that brings email, calendar, tasks, notes, contacts, and messaging together behind an intelligent assistant. Our mission is to help people spend less time managing work and more time getting meaningful work done.
Why Join warpSpeed?
- Design an AI-first product where many UX patterns are still being invented.
- Work directly with the founders and influence product decisions from day one.
- Ship quickly without layers of approval slowing decisions.
- Own significant product areas across iOS, Android, and web.
- Help define the future of AI productivity for a global user base.
Who You'll Be Working For:
You will be joining a UK-based company founded by serial entrepreneur Martin Warner, who has built and scaled multiple successful technology companies. This is a rare opportunity to work directly within a founder-led team where design is treated as a first-class product priority, your work will be visible, valued, and central to every release.
The Role:
This is a full-time remote role for candidates based in India. You'll work directly with our UK-based leadership, product, and engineering teams on a product used by a global audience. Compensation is competitive within the Indian market and will be determined by your experience and expertise.
We are looking for a stellar Senior UI/UX Designer - someone who has worked on leading, widely-used apps and has a proven history of identifying and solving major UI/UX problems, not just polishing screens. warpSpeed unifies email, calendar, tasks, notes, contacts, and messaging behind a conversational AI assistant, which means the design challenges here are genuinely novel: How do you make an AI assistant feel trustworthy? How do you compress six apps' worth of functionality into one coherent, calm interface? How do you design for conversation and canvas at the same time?
If those questions excite you more than they scare you, keep reading.
What You'll Do:
- Own end-to-end UX and UI for warpSpeed's iOS, Android, and web experiences, from problem definition through research, flows, wireframes, high-fidelity design, and shipped product.
- Diagnose and solve major UX problems: onboarding drop-off, feature discoverability, navigation complexity, and trust in AI-generated actions.
- Design conversational and agentic AI interactions, assistant surfaces, proactive suggestions, AI-drafted content review flows, where established patterns don't yet exist.
- Build, maintain, and evolve a scalable design system that keeps a feature-rich product feeling simple.
- Run lightweight user research and usability testing; turn behavioural data (funnels, heatmaps, session recordings) into design decisions.
- Partner daily with founders, product, and engineering; deliver developer-ready specs, prototypes, and assets that translate cleanly into production.
- Champion accessibility, platform conventions (Human Interface Guidelines / Material Design), and micro-interaction quality as part of the definition of done.
- Raise the design bar across the company, from app store screenshots to marketing surfaces when needed.
Must-Have Experience:
- 6+ years designing consumer digital products, including significant experience on successful mobile apps with large active user bases.
- A documented track record of solving major UI/UX problems, with the before/after, the reasoning, and the measured impact (activation, retention, conversion, task success).
- Deep fluency in Figma (components, variables, auto-layout, prototyping) and modern design workflows.
- Strong command of mobile design across iOS and Android: navigation patterns, platform conventions, responsive and adaptive layouts.
- End-to-end range: equally strong in UX thinking (flows, IA, research) and UI craft (typography, colour, motion, micro-interactions).
- Experience working directly with engineers in fast shipping cycles and delivering production-ready specs.
- Excellent communication, you can explain and defend design decisions to founders and engineers with evidence, not opinion.
Nice to Have:
- Experience designing AI-native products: assistants, copilots, conversational UI, or agentic workflows.
- Productivity, communication, or SaaS app background (email, calendar, tasks, messaging).
- Motion design and prototyping tools (After Effects, Rive, Principle, ProtoPie).
- Familiarity with front-end constraints (React Native / native mobile), enough to design things that can actually be built.
- Experience with A/B testing design variants and working with analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Hotjar).
- Illustration or brand design sensibility.
Portfolio Requirement:
A portfolio is required. We want to understand how you think, the problems you've solved, the decisions you made, and the impact your work had, not just polished visuals.
