About Tasho
Tasho is a contemporary marble atelier creating luxury furniture, objects and architectural pieces using traditional Pietra Dura (Parchin Kari) craftsmanship. We are looking for a Design Coordinator to become the vital link between design development and production.
About the Role
You will work directly with the Founder to translate design concepts into beautifully executed products. This role requires someone who enjoys problem-solving, communicating with artisans, organising multiple projects, and ensuring every detail is executed to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate the development of furniture, objects and architectural stone pieces from concept through to production.
* Prepare clear production drawings and technical documentation for artisans.
* Communicate design intent and construction details to multiple workshops.
* Visit artisan workshops regularly to review progress and resolve production challenges.
* Coordinate prototype development and design revisions.
* Maintain organised drawing packages, specifications and version control.
* Track samples, timelines and production status across multiple vendors.
* Review work during production to ensure dimensions, stone selection, workmanship and finishing meet design intent.
* Photograph and document production progress.
* Provide regular updates to the Founder on project progress, risks and proposed solutions.
Requirements
* Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Product Design, Furniture Design, Architecture, Industrial Design or a related field.
* Strong technical drawing and detailing skills.
* Excellent organisational and project coordination abilities.
* Strong communication skills in both Hindi and English.
* Comfortable working directly with artisans and manufacturers.
* Experience in quality control with the ability to critically evaluate finished pieces, identify defects, communicate corrective actions, and approve only work that meets luxury international standards.
* Willingness to travel frequently within Agra.
Preferred Skills
* Experience working with stone, marble, furniture or luxury products.
* Knowledge of AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp or similar design software.
* Experience preparing production drawings and shop drawings.
* Understanding of manufacturing processes and material specifications.
