Job Description
We are looking for a skilled senior software engineer - testing - with strong expertise in ETL and data testing. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and quality across complex data pipelines and reporting systems. Responsibilities: - Validate data sources, ETL processes, and target systems. - Design and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases. - Perform end-to-end ETL testing (extraction, transformation, loading). - Analyse and troubleshoot data issues, ensuring data integrity. - Develop and execute SIT test cases and manage test data. - Review data models, mappings, and architecture documents. - Write complex SQL queries for data validation and comparison. - Conduct data conversion testing and maintenance activities. - Track and manage defects using tools like Jira/Bugzilla. - Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business analysts. - Ensure adherence to QA processes, governance, and quality standards - Support risk identification and mitigation planning Dashboard Testing Responsibilities: - Validate dashboard functionality, performance, and usability. - Ensure accuracy and consistency of data visualisations. - Identify, document, and track dashboard issues. - Work closely with development teams to improve dashboard quality. Additional Expectations: - Ensure the quality of individual and team deliverables. - Maintain testing documentation and sign-offs. - Adhere to defined QA metrics and processes. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field. - Strong experience in ETL testing and data warehousing. - Solid understanding of dimensional modelling (star and snowflake schemas), facts and dimensions. - Hands-on experience with SQL. - Exposure to Python, JavaScript, or Java. - Experience with defect tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla, etc. ) - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Good communication and stakeholder collaboration.
