Job details:
At Drucks, we are building one of the world's first consumer footwear brands powered entirely by additive manufacturing.
Every shoe we create is generated from an individual's feet, printed on demand, and engineered specifically for that person. We are developing our own manufacturing workflow, software stack, materials, and products to redefine how footwear is made.
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems at the intersection of computational design and 3D printing.
This role is ideal for someone who spends more time experimenting with Rhino, slicers, and printers than collecting certifications.
What You'll Do
- Create and optimize complex 3D models in Rhino for additive manufacturing.
- Prepare production-ready models for FDM printing.
- Optimize slicing strategies for quality, strength, speed, and material efficiency.
- Experiment with print parameters across different geometries and materials.
- Work closely with our R&D team to develop next-generation footwear products.
- Troubleshoot print failures and improve manufacturing reliability.
- Continuously improve our digital manufacturing workflow
Must Have
- Strong expertise in Rhino.
- Strong understanding of at least one professional slicer such as Orca Slicer, Cura, Bambu Studio, or PrusaSlicer.
- Good understanding of FDM 3D printing principles.
- Experience working with different materials and print settings.
- Strong problem-solving mindset.
- Curiosity to experiment and iterate.
Good to Have
- Experience with TPU or flexible materials.
- Knowledge of printer calibration and maintenance.
- Familiarity with printer electronics, firmware, or custom-built printers.
- Exposure to Grasshopper or computational design.
- Experience with Bambu Lab printers.
We Don't Care About
- Your degree.
- Your branch of engineering.
- Your college.
- Your CGPA.
If you've built interesting things and genuinely understand additive manufacturing, we'd love to speak with you.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for builders.
People who enjoy experimenting with slicer settings just to see what happens.
People who have spent weekends improving print quality because they couldn't stop thinking about it.
People who believe every failed print teaches something valuable.
If that sounds like you, you'll fit right in.
Why Join Drucks?
- Build technology that has never been commercialized at this scale in footwear.
- Work on real product development, not repetitive production work.
- Own challenging engineering problems from day one.
- Small team with high ownership and fast decision-making.
- Opportunity to shape the future of digital manufacturing.
Experience
Experience is less important than capability.
Whether you have 1 year or 10 years of experience, we'll evaluate you based on your skills, portfolio, and problem-solving ability.
How to Apply
Apply through LinkedIn with your resume and, if available, links to your portfolio, GitHub, personal projects, or anything you've built that demonstrates your skills in Rhino, slicing, or additive manufacturing.
We'd much rather see what you've built than where you've studied.
