Role Description This is a full-time, on-site office staff role located in Ooty, Nilgiris. The office staff member will handle day-to-day administrative tasks such as managing files and records, preparing documents, and maintaining office supplies. Responsibilities include answering phone calls, greeting visitors, and providing courteous customer service to beneficiaries and partners. The role involves supporting basic accounting activities, such as recording transactions, assisting with bill payments, and maintaining simple financial logs under supervision. The office staff will also coordinate internal communication, assist with scheduling meetings, and support the smooth operation of office activities and charitable programs.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with visitors, beneficiaries, and team members.
- Candidates should possess Administrative Assistance and Office Administration skills to manage documents, records, schedules, and general office operations.
- Candidates should possess basic Accounting skills to support simple bookkeeping, invoice handling, and financial record maintenance.
- Candidates should have proficiency in using computers and office software (such as email, word processing, and spreadsheets).
- Candidates should demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a charitable, community-focused environment.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a diploma or degree in commerce, administration, or a related field is an advantage.
- Prior experience in an office or administrative role is preferred but not mandatory for motivated candidates willing to learn.
