Key Responsibilities:
- Develop planning and urban design projects from concept to completion, overseeing all phases of project development.
- Develop innovative design strategies and concepts that address urban challenges and enhance quality of life.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and interdisciplinary teams to understand project goals, objectives, and constraints.
- Conduct site analysis, research, and data collection to inform design decisions and develop comprehensive urban design proposals.
- Prepare and present design proposals, reports, and presentations to clients, authorities, and community stakeholders.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in urban design and planning.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards throughout the design process.
- Willingness to travel as needed for project meetings and site visits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's and Master's degree in Urban Design or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in urban design, with a proven track record of leading complex projects.
- Strong design portfolio demonstrating expertise in urban design, master planning, and placemaking.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, MS Office, Adobe Suite, would be essential. GIS/ Revit / Grasshopper/ Rhino skills will be desirable.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts effectively.
