Job Title: Product Manager – Ophthalmic Diagnostic Portfolio

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Manager to lead our Ophthalmic Diagnostic Portfolio. The incumbent will play a critical role in driving product strategy, market development, sales enablement, and stakeholder engagement to support business growth. This role requires a strong understanding of ophthalmic diagnostics, market trends, and customer needs, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and key opinion leaders (KOLs) within the ophthalmology ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Portfolio Management
- Develop and execute product strategies aligned with business objectives and market opportunities.
- Manage the complete product lifecycle, including product positioning, pricing, portfolio expansion, and commercialization plans.
- Identify opportunities for portfolio enhancement based on market trends, customer feedback, and competitive insights.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure successful product launches and sustained market performance.
Market Intelligence & Clinical Insights
- Conduct continuous market research and competitive analysis to understand industry trends, customer requirements, and emerging technologies in ophthalmic diagnostics.
- Engage regularly with Ophthalmologists, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and healthcare professionals through conferences, workshops, hospital visits, and scientific forums.
- Gather and analyze clinical and commercial insights to identify unmet customer needs and business opportunities.
- Monitor competitor activities and recommend strategic initiatives to strengthen market positioning.
Sales Enablement & Marketing Execution
- Develop and implement product marketing plans and promotional strategies to drive revenue growth.
- Equip the sales team with product positioning tools, competitive intelligence, sales collateral, and customer-facing materials.
- Conduct product training programs and workshops to enhance the sales team's technical and commercial capabilities.
- Partner with sales leadership to develop strategies that support achievement of business targets and market penetration objectives.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with ophthalmic surgeons, hospital administrators, procurement teams, and finance stakeholders.
- Support customer engagement activities and assist in influencing purchasing decisions through value-based product positioning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Clinical Applications, Service, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless product support and customer satisfaction.
- Represent the organization at industry events, scientific meetings, and customer engagements.
Desired Candidate Profile
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Optometry, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or related disciplines.
- MBA (Marketing) will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in Product Management, Marketing, or Sales within the Medical Devices or Ophthalmic Diagnostics industry.
- Prior experience managing ophthalmic diagnostic products such as OCT, Fundus Cameras, Biometry, Corneal Topography, Perimetry, or other diagnostic imaging systems will be preferred.
- Proven experience in product launches, market development, and sales enablement activities.
