Job details:
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Technical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end product development, including design, machining coordination, and assembly of mechanical and opto-electro-mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems using CAD tools
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, tolerances, and BOMs for manufacturing
- Work closely with machining vendors or in-house facilities to ensure design feasibility and precision
- Oversee fabrication, machining, and prototyping processes
- Perform assembly of components and systems, including troubleshooting and iterative improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for product development and optimization
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Strong experience in mechanical design and CAD modeling
- Practical knowledge of machining processes (CNC, milling, turning, etc.)
- Hands-on experience in assembly and prototyping
- Understanding of materials, tolerances, and manufacturing constraints
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in product development or hardware startups
- Familiarity with electronics/optics integration (optional but beneficial)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
