Engineering Manager – Connectivity Business Applications
Role Overview
This is an opportunity to join the engineering team of a global leader in commercial vehicles and mobility solutions. The team develops next-generation connectivity business applications, leveraging large volumes of data generated by connected vehicles. Using technologies such as IoT, Cloud, and Data Analytics, you'll help build scalable, customer-facing digital services for global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Connectivity Portal & Products for one of the organization's global markets.
- Define product strategy, technology solutions, and architecture in collaboration with global business and engineering teams.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 15–20 engineers, including performance management and career development.
- Promote and drive Agile software development practices across the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, technology partners, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Ensure software meets product, quality, security, and compliance standards.
- Maintain effective communication with business stakeholders and global teams.
- Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes through root cause analysis and implementation of best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
- 16+ years of experience in customer-facing enterprise or product software development.
- Prior experience in engineering leadership with global stakeholder management.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Exposure to the automotive, mobility, connected products, or industrial IoT domain is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Cloud, IoT, Data Platforms, and enterprise-scale software architecture.
