Role Description The Retail Architect will be responsible for designing and developing retail spaces that align with brand identity, customer experience goals, and functional requirements. This full-time, on-site role in New Delhi involves preparing concept designs, detailed drawings, and technical documentation, as well as coordinating with clients, design teams, contractors, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle. The Retail Architect will conduct site visits, assess existing conditions, and ensure that designs comply with building codes, safety standards, and accessibility guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include space planning, material and finishes selection, reviewing construction progress, resolving design issues, and supporting project timelines and budgets. The role also requires collaborating closely with stakeholders to refine design solutions based on feedback and performance metrics for retail environments.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in retail space planning, concept development, and architectural design for customer-centric environments.
- Proficiency with architectural design and documentation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, SketchUp, and relevant visualization software).
- Experience interpreting building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards for commercial and retail projects.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, project managers, contractors, and vendors.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Prior experience in retail architecture, interior architecture, or commercial design, preferably with built project examples.
- Strong communication, presentation, and client-facing skills, with the ability to explain design concepts clearly.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and familiarity with modern retail trends and brand experience strategies.
