AKMR Studio is hiring an experienced and motivated SDA Project Manager – Community Development to lead and develop the SDA (Social & Development Alliance) Project of Darul Khair in Mumbai.
SDA is a community-focused initiative working towards financial empowerment, community development, interest-free support through Qarz-e-Hasana, membership development, volunteer engagement, and social welfare activities.
The selected candidate will be responsible for establishing and growing the SDA Project in Mumbai, building a strong community network, developing volunteers and coordinators, increasing membership, organizing awareness activities, and creating partnerships with individuals, organizations, community leaders, and social institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall development and operations of the SDA Project in Mumbai.
- Develop and implement a practical strategy to expand SDA across Mumbai.
- Build relationships with community leaders, NGOs, social organizations, institutions, donors, and potential partners.
- Recruit, train, coordinate, and manage SDA volunteers.
- Develop Area Coordinators and local volunteer teams.
- Increase SDA membership and create awareness about the project's mission.
- Organize community meetings, awareness campaigns, seminars, workshops, and outreach programs.
- Promote the concept and importance of Qarz-e-Hasana and financial empowerment.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships, fundraising, sponsorships, and community support.
- Maintain regular communication with SDA members, volunteers, donors, and stakeholders.
- Monitor project activities and measure growth and impact.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports for SDA management.
- Maintain proper records of members, volunteers, activities, partnerships, and project progress.
- Work closely with the Darul Khair management team to achieve SDA's long-term goals.
- Take initiative and develop new ideas to increase the reach and impact of SDA.
Candidate Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in NGO, community development, social work, project management, fundraising, or a related field.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Experience in community mobilization and volunteer management.
- Good networking and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to organize events, campaigns, meetings, and outreach programs.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for project growth.
- Strong planning, reporting, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office / Google Workspace.
- Hindi and English communication skills are required.
- Knowledge of Marathi will be an advantage.
- Previous experience working with NGOs, community organizations, charitable institutions, or social-development projects will be preferred.
- Candidates with strong community networks and proven experience in building teams or projects will be highly preferred.

Compensation
₹35,000 – ₹45,000 per month, depending on experience, skills, and suitability.
Performance-based incentives may be provided based on project growth and achievement of agreed objectives.

Reporting
- The SDA Project Manager will work under the direction of Darul Khair / SDA Management and will coordinate with the management team on project strategy, progress, reporting, and development.
