Role Purpose:
The Logistics Executive will be responsible for coordinating vehicle placement as per customer requirements, managing transporter coordination, supporting monthly freight bidding, and ensuring timely documentation and billing. The role requires hands-on experience in transportation operations, freight rate negotiations, and familiarity with the Reliance billing portal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arrange placement of trucks from the open market as per customer (Reliance) dispatch requirements.
- Coordinate with transporters to obtain competitive freight rates and consolidate quotations for monthly bidding.
- Support the monthly freight bidding process by preparing and submitting transporter rate details.
- Ensure timely availability of vehicles to meet dispatch schedules.
- Prepare and submit all dispatch-related documentation accurately.
- Process customer billing and maintain complete billing records.
- Operate and manage transactions through the Reliance billing portal.
- Coordinate with transporters, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Track vehicle movement and resolve operational issues to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain MIS reports and logistics-related records.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Graduate in any discipline. Diploma or certification in Logistics/Supply Chain will be an added advantage.
- 2–5 years of experience in transportation or logistics operations.
- Experience in truck placement, transporter management, freight rate negotiation, and dispatch coordination.
- Hands-on knowledge of the Reliance billing portal is preferred.
- Good understanding of transportation documentation and billing processes.
- Proficient in MS Excel and ERP/logistics systems.
- Strong coordination, communication, and negotiation skills.
