About The Role
HCLTech is seeking a highly skilled Google Cloud Solutions Engineer / Architect to join our dynamic team. The primary focus of this role is to lead solution design and engineering efforts to accelerate the adoption of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) at an enterprise level. You will be instrumental in driving cloud migration, modernization initiatives, and AI-driven automation projects for Fortune 2000 clients across various industries such as banking, retail, healthcare, and telecommunications. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise and the ability to collaborate effectively with global sales teams, technical architects, and partner organizations. Your responsibilities will include creating compelling go-to-market strategies, designing reference architectures, and delivering innovative cloud solutions tailored to client needs, thereby enabling digital transformation and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a solid educational background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields, with a Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech). A minimum of 5 to 7 years of overall IT experience is required, including at least 2-3 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Technical proficiency in GCP services such as Compute, Storage, and Networking is essential, alongside expertise in Data Engineering tools like BigQuery and Looker. Familiarity with AI/ML platforms such as Vertex AI and Gemini Enterprise, as well as an understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate experience working with global system integrator (GSI) partners, a strong understanding of industry-specific use cases, and excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts into business value. Certifications such as Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect, Data Engineer, or Machine Learning Engineer are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with global sales teams and Google Cloud Architects to respond to RFIs and RFPs, ensuring client requirements are met with innovative solutions.
- Develop ROI models and hyperscale funding strategies to optimize cloud consumption and reduce total cost of ownership for clients.
- Design industry-specific use cases and ideation sessions focused on cloud adoption, modernization, and managed services.
- Lead technical workshops to demonstrate cloud migration strategies, including data center modernization and infrastructure transformation.
- Create reference architectures for cloud-native applications, data engineering stacks, and AI solutions using GCP services like BigQuery, Looker, and Vertex AI.
- Design and implement AI-driven solutions such as Gemini Enterprise Agentic AI and GenAI to enhance enterprise automation and cloud operations.
- Work closely with GSI partners to develop joint solutions, scale go-to-market initiatives, and expand solution reach in targeted industries.
- Maintain a high level of industry domain expertise, understanding value stream use cases within sectors such as BFSI, RCPG, Telecom, Healthcare, and Manufacturing.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-oriented presentations for executive stakeholders.
