Position Summary
The Application Specialist is responsible for supporting business growth and market development for the company's emergency medical products across India. The role combines clinical expertise, technical product knowledge, customer training, and sales support to ensure successful product adoption, customer satisfaction, and sustainable revenue growth.
The incumbent will work closely with healthcare professionals, dealers, distributors, emergency medical service providers, hospitals, and internal stakeholders to provide product demonstrations, application support, training, and market intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
· Sales and Business Support
· Support sales activities by providing product demonstrations, application expertise, and technical clinical presentations to customers.
· Assist the sales team in addressing complex clinical and technical product-related queries.
· Contribute to the development of sales strategies, proposals, and customer solutions.
· Support market expansion initiatives and identify new business opportunities.
· Assist in achieving regional sales targets through effective product promotion and customer engagement.
· Provide application-oriented support to customers, distributors, and end users.
· Conduct product installations, commissioning, and start-up activities at customer sites.
· Troubleshoot application-related issues and coordinate solutions with relevant internal teams.
· Ensure successful implementation and utilization of products by customers.
· Extensive travelling across the Indian sub-continent, 70-80% of the time
Training & Education
· Conduct product training programs for internal employees, channel partners, healthcare professionals, and end users.
· Develop and deliver educational presentations, workshops, and clinical training sessions.
· Support the preparation of training proposals and customer training schedules in coordination with Customer Service and Sales teams.
Product & Market Development
· Gather customer feedback and communicate market requirements to Regional Sales Manager
· Participate in product launches, product enhancement initiatives, and field evaluations.
· Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies within the emergency medical segment.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, emergency medical services (EMS), healthcare professionals, distributors, and key opinion leaders.
· Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Technical Service, Product Management, and Customer Support teams.
· Represent the organization at conferences, exhibitions, trade shows, and industry events.
· Documentation & Compliance
· Maintain accurate customer records and sales activities within the CRM system.
· Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, company policies, quality standards, and the Code of Conduct.
· Prepare reports on customer interactions, training activities, and market developments.
Educational Qualifications
· Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent qualification in a healthcare-related field.
Preferred Background - Candidates with experience or qualifications in:
· Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
· Paramedical Sciences
· Nursing
· Critical Care Nursing
· Anesthesia Technology/Nursing
· Emergency & Trauma Care
· Respiratory Therapy
Experience
4–6 years of relevant experience in emergency medical services, critical care, anesthesia, nursing, or related healthcare environments.
· Hands-on experience working with medical devices and healthcare professionals.
· Preferred
· Experience in medical device sales support, clinical applications, or product training.
· Exposure to emergency care, critical care, or hospital environments.
· Experience working with distributors and channel partners.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
Technical & Clinical
· Strong clinical knowledge of emergency and critical care practices.
· Sound understanding of medical devices and healthcare technologies.
· Ability to explain technical concepts to both clinical and non-clinical audiences.

· Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Customer-focused approach with problem-solving capabilities.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Strong planning, execution, and organizational skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
· Knowledge of Hindi and/or regional languages will be an added advantage.

· Experience as an Application Specialist within the medical device industry.
· Basic commercial and business development knowledge.
· Existing professional network within emergency medical services, hospitals, or healthcare institutions.
· Additional regional language proficiency.
