Job details:
I am Manas, and I run Prosperr. We build the tax and payroll infrastructure that sits underneath how companies pay their people. Over the past year the business has moved upmarket, towards the finance and HR leaders who decide how thousands of salaries get structured and taxed.
Selling to those people works differently. By the time anyone from our team reaches a CFO, that person should already know who we are and already trust that we understand the subject. Building that kind of recognition is largely a marketing job, and at the moment almost all of it runs through me. This role exists to move it to you.
What the job actually is:
Most of your week goes to making me useful in public. I write and speak fairly often, and a good deal of what goes out is produced with an outside studio we work with, so a large part of the role is running that engine properly. In practice, that means:
- Turning my thinking into finished work.
You take a rough voice note, a takeaway from a meeting, or a half-formed argument and shape it into posts, articles, and talk material that sound like me and hold up in front of a finance audience.
- Briefing and steering the studio.
You give them the inside knowledge only someone here has, hold the quality bar, and make sure nothing leaves the building sounding like a press release.
- Owning the rhythm of what we publish.
You keep a steady calendar of output across the channels that matter, so my presence stays consistent instead of arriving in bursts whenever I find a spare hour.
- Building what a meeting needs.
A deck the night before a CFO conversation, a crisp one-pager, a small campaign around a launch. Whatever the week actually calls for.
You’ll sit in on meetings with me, sometimes with a senior finance leader across the table, so I want someone I can bring along without a second thought.
As you settle in and show me what you can carry, more of this becomes yours to run outright.
Who I’m looking for:
You’ll do well here if you’re a little impatient. The person I want tends to finish one thing and come asking for the next, instead of waiting to be handed it. Taste matters too, by which I mean you can feel the difference between writing that sounds like a person and writing that sounds like a brand, and you instinctively reach for the first. You’ll sit close enough to my calendar and my thinking that I have to be able to trust you completely, and you should be comfortable enough in a room that I’d happily put you in front of a customer.
On experience, you’ve spent at least a couple of years running social or content for a company or for a person, and you can show me the work. A portfolio counts for far more here than a polished CV.
To be honest...
I’ll be straight about one thing, because it saves us both time. A good part of this job is sharpening and steering work that already exists, rather than inventing everything from a blank page. If the only thing you enjoy is your own ideas built from nothing, you’ll be restless here. If you like taking something half-formed and making it genuinely good, and leaving the whole operation running better than it did the month before, this will suit you well. The more you show me you can hold, the more I hand over.
Where it is, what it pays, and how to apply:
The role is full-time and in person, at our office in Whitefield, Bengaluru, and you’d report directly to me. Pay sits in the range of ₹9 to ₹16 lakh a year depending on what you bring, with real room to grow. The honest draw, though, is how much you’ll touch and how quickly you’ll learn sitting this close to the centre of the company.
PS: There is no cover letter to write. There is a single question in the application, and I read every answer myself, because what I’m really reading for is how your head works.
