About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Networking Software Engineering Leader to join our team in Bengaluru. This senior leadership role is pivotal in managing both presales activities and delivery operations for complex network and telecom solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in network systems, telecom architectures, and software engineering, combined with strong leadership and customer engagement skills. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients, guiding solution design, proof of concept development, and overseeing large-scale delivery projects. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution, high-quality outputs, and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead innovative projects in a dynamic environment, shaping the future of network solutions and telecommunications technology.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have over 20 years of extensive experience in telecom or large-scale networking systems, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity managing teams. A strong background in network architecture, software engineering, and telecom domains such as wireline, wireless (LTE/5G), access, transport, and core networks is essential. Proven experience in presales, solution design, and delivery management is required. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior executives and clients effectively. Hands-on technical expertise in SD-WAN, routing, switching, packet processing, and network virtualization is critical. Knowledge of cloud-native technologies, DevOps practices, and systems engineering further enhances the profile. A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical interface with clients, understanding their requirements and translating them into comprehensive network solutions.
- Lead technical discovery sessions, define architecture, and support RFP/RFI responses, proposals, and solution presentations.
- Design end-to-end telecom solutions encompassing access, transport, core, and data plane components.
- Define and lead Proof of Concepts (PoCs), ensuring they are scalable, validated, and ready for production deployment.
- Act as the technical owner during project delivery, guiding teams through detailed design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Handle complex cross-domain technical escalations, ensuring solutions meet performance and quality standards.
- Mentor and review work of architects and engineers, promoting best practices and technical excellence.
- Drive the development of technical standards, reusable assets, and continuous process improvements.
- Maintain deep technical knowledge across networking domains such as IP/MPLS, BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, and virtualization technologies like VNFs/CNFs.
- Ensure solutions are aligned with industry standards, customer requirements, and emerging technological trends.
