About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Networking Software Engineering Leader specializing in Pre-sales and Delivery to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru. This senior leadership role requires a deep technical understanding of network and telecom systems, combined with exceptional client engagement and project management skills. The successful candidate will take ownership of end-to-end solution design, technical leadership during project delivery, and strategic pre-sales activities, ensuring the successful deployment of complex telecom and networking solutions for our clients.
The individual will act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, a collaborative partner to sales teams, and a guiding force for delivery teams. This role demands a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of managing large-scale projects, mentoring technical staff, and driving technical excellence across multiple domains including wireline, wireless, IP/MPLS, VNFs, and high-performance data plane technologies.
Key responsibilities include engaging with clients to understand their needs, designing scalable and robust network solutions, leading proof of concept initiatives, overseeing project execution, and ensuring high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. The role also involves mentoring team members, driving technical standards, and fostering innovation within the organization.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess over 20 years of experience in telecom or large-scale networking systems, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity managing teams. A proven track record in pre-sales, solution architecture, and project delivery is essential. The candidate should have extensive knowledge of networking protocols, telecom architectures, and virtualization technologies.
Strong communication skills, both with technical and non-technical stakeholders, are required. Hands-on experience with SD-WAN, routing, switching, packet processing, and performance tuning is necessary. Additionally, familiarity with systems engineering, cloud-native applications, DevOps practices, and MLOps will be highly advantageous. A relevant degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical interface with customers, understanding their requirements and translating them into comprehensive network solutions.
- Lead technical discovery sessions, solution design, and architecture discussions to ensure alignment with customer needs and industry best practices.
- Support RFP/RFI responses, prepare detailed proposals, Statements of Work (SoWs), and deliver compelling solution presentations to clients.
- Design end-to-end telecom solutions covering access, transport, core, and data plane components, ensuring scalability and robustness.
- Define and lead Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives, validating solutions against customer use cases and ensuring readiness for production deployment.
- Act as the technical owner during project delivery, guiding teams through detailed design, implementation, integration, and troubleshooting processes.
- Handle complex cross-domain technical escalations, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.
- Mentor and review the work of architects and engineers, promoting best practices, reusable assets, and continuous improvement.
- Drive technical standards and innovation, staying abreast of emerging trends and integrating them into project workflows.
- Ensure solutions meet performance, quality, and security standards, and align with client expectations and industry regulations.
- Manage multiple large-scale delivery programs, often involving teams of over 300 professionals, across various Tier 1 clients.
