Build Event-Driven Monitoring & Observability at Enterprise Scale
We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow ITOM & Kafka Integration Engineer to design, implement and optimize enterprise event management, monitoring and observability solutions.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on integrating ServiceNow ITOM Event Management with enterprise monitoring platforms and Confluent Kafka, enabling reliable real-time event ingestion, processing, correlation and business service visibility.
You'll work across ServiceNow, event streaming and observability ecosystems within a complex enterprise environment.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop and support integrations between ServiceNow ITOM and enterprise monitoring platforms.
- Configure, maintain and optimize Kafka topics, partitions and consumer groups.
- Build integrations using REST APIs, Webhooks and ServiceNow IntegrationHub.
- Develop and support event-driven architectures and real-time streaming solutions.
- Implement event ingestion, correlation, alert management and operational optimization.
- Integrate ServiceNow with monitoring and observability platforms such as Dynatrace, SolarWinds, Azure Monitor, Aternity and ThousandEyes.
- Support CMDB, Service Mapping and CSDM alignment.
- Develop reusable integration components, patterns and technical standards.
- Troubleshoot complex integration and platform issues.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Platform, Operations and vendor teams.
- Contribute to Agile and DevOps delivery and platform governance.
What We're Looking For
✔ Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITOM.
✔ Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Event Management — mandatory.
✔ Strong experience with Confluent Kafka administration and operations.
✔ Experience designing or supporting event-driven architectures and real-time data streaming.
✔ Experience configuring Kafka topics, partitions and consumer groups.
✔ Experience with Kafka Connect and connectors.
✔ Experience developing Kafka producers and consumers.
✔ Integration experience using REST APIs, Webhooks and IntegrationHub.
✔ Development or scripting experience with Python, Java or equivalent technologies.
✔ Strong understanding of event ingestion, correlation, transformation and alert lifecycle management.
✔ Experience with CMDB and Service Mapping and understanding of CSDM.
✔ Experience working with enterprise monitoring and observability technologies.
Nice to Have
⭐ Avro and/or Protobuf schema management.
⭐ Kubernetes and Docker.
⭐ Microsoft Azure.
⭐ Experience within large enterprise and multi-vendor environments.
⭐ Experience establishing governance, technical standards and reusable integration patterns.
⭐ Agile and DevOps delivery experience.
