Teamwork makes the stream work.
Roku is changing how the world watches TVRoku is the #1 TV streaming platform in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, and we've set our sights on powering every television in the world. Roku pioneered streaming to the TV. Our mission is to be the TV streaming platform that connects the entire TV ecosystem. We connect consumers to the content they love, enable content publishers to build and monetize large audiences, and provide advertisers unique capabilities to engage consumers.
From your first day at Roku, you'll make a valuable - and valued - contribution. We're a fast-growing public company where no one is a bystander. We offer you the opportunity to delight millions of TV streamers around the world while gaining meaningful experience across a variety of disciplines.
What is the role?Roku is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer with a focus on supporting the company's ERP platform, NetSuite, within the Enterprise Engineering team. This role is responsible for developing customizations including Suitelets, SuiteScript, and Workflows within NetSuite to support critical business processes such as Record to Report and Order to Cash. The Senior Systems Engineer will work alongside a team of engineers to grow functionality holistically across the application, collaborating with platform and integration developers working with other best-of-breed applications. This individual must demonstrate competence with NetSuite and related modules as well as third-party application integrations, bringing a well-rounded background in both business operations and ERP systems. The role encompasses the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment, with a strong emphasis on designing for scale and reliability as Roku continues to grow.
How will I use AI at Roku?At Roku, we don’t just use AI, we work with it. AI agents and smart tools help power drafts, analysis, and repetitive workflows, while our people bring direction, judgment, and accountability. We’re looking for curious, adaptable builders who can show how they’ve used AI or automation to move faster, raise the bar, and scale their impact.
We value your AI skills if you have built fluency across the agentic engineering toolchain — coding harnesses like Claude Code or Cursor, MCP servers, custom skills, or agent frameworks. And you can describe projects where you shipped real work with these tools. You know how to drive an agent, verify its output, and ramp on an unfamiliar codebase with an agent helping you.
What are the responsibilities of the role?Design, develop, and test product features that meet business and technical requirements of NetSuite ERP modules and workflows
Integrate NetSuite with other third-party systems using REST, SOAP web services, and APIs
Assist in improving existing integrations with third-party logistics providers and ensure systems work optimally
Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements, policies, and procedures
Lead full lifecycle implementation of core and advanced NetSuite modules
Triage and resolve performance and data integrity concerns by reviewing and evaluating code, data patches, system logs, and resource utilization
Design for scale and reliability as the organization grows
Conduct investigative troubleshooting and problem solving, especially when the root cause is not immediately apparent
Solve problems for both external and internal customers, including direct interaction with those affected to ensure successful outcomes
Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment
What experience would help someone be successful in this role at Roku?6+ years of NetSuite development experience
In-depth knowledge of ERP systems, with a preference for hands-on implementation experience
Experience designing, developing, and customizing NetSuite solutions supporting end-to-end supply chain processes, including inventory management, procurement, demand planning, and order fulfilment
Hands-on experience with NetSuite Order Management, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Inventory modules
Strong domain knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) business processes
Experience troubleshooting and enhancing NetSuite supply chain configurations to improve performance, accuracy, and automation
Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SuiteScript 1.0/2.0/2.1
Experience developing and managing NetSuite workflows, custom records, fields, forms, and advanced PDFs
Expertise in SuiteAnalytics for building custom reports, saved searches, and KPIs
Strong proficiency with REST, SOAP web services, and APIs for developing custom integrations with third-party systems
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
NetSuite Developer Certification or equivalent experience preferred

What should I know about Roku's culture?Roku is a great place for people who want to work in a fast-paced environment where everyone is focused on the company's success rather than their own. We try to surround ourselves with people who are great at their jobs, who are easy to work with, and who keep their egos in check. We appreciate a sense of humor. We believe a fewer number of very talented folks can do more for less cost than a larger number of less talented teams. We're independent thinkers with big ideas who act boldly, move fast and accomplish extraordinary things through collaboration and trust. In short, at Roku you'll be part of a company that's changing how the world watches TV.
We have a unique culture that we are proud of. We think of ourselves primarily as problem-solvers, which itself is a two-part idea. We come up with the solution, but the solution isn't real until it is built and delivered to the customer. That penchant for action gives us a pragmatic approach to innovation, one that has served us well since 2002.
