Role Description This full-time, on-site Senior Interior Designer role is based in Mumbai and involves leading interior design projects from concept to completion. The Senior Interior Designer will develop design concepts, prepare detailed drawings and presentations, select materials and finishes, and coordinate FF&E for residential and commercial spaces. The role includes collaborating with architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure design intent is maintained throughout the project lifecycle. The Senior Interior Designer will participate in client meetings, manage project timelines, oversee site execution, and ensure quality standards and budget requirements are met. Mentoring junior designers and contributing to the firm’s design vision are key aspects of this role.
Qualifications
- Strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills, with the ability to create functional, aesthetic, and innovative layouts.
- Proficiency in Architecture fundamentals and Construction Drawings, including coordination of design details with project teams.
- Hands-on experience with FF&E selection, specification, and coordination, including materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures.
- Advanced skills in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop) and presentation tools.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in interior design with a proven portfolio of executed projects, preferably in residential or commercial sectors.
- Strong project management, time management, and coordination skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication and client-facing skills, including the ability to present ideas and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of local building codes, materials, and construction practices in Mumbai and surrounding regions.
