We're looking for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer who takes ownership of product quality and enjoys finding problems before customers do.
Role Overview
As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, reliability, and performance of our software products throughout the development lifecycle.
You will work closely with developers, product teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, design comprehensive test strategies, execute manual testing, develop automated test suites, identify defects, and help deliver high-quality software releases.
This role combines strong analytical thinking with both manual and automation testing skills.
Key Responsibilities
Manual Testing
- Understand business requirements and product workflows.
- Design comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, exploratory, smoke, and sanity testing.
- Validate new features before release.
- Identify, reproduce, document, and track software defects.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure successful resolution.
- Perform cross-browser, responsive, and cross-device testing.
- Validate software usability and overall user experience.
Automation Testing
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web applications.
- Build automated regression test suites.
- Execute automated test runs before releases.
- Improve automation coverage as products evolve.
- Maintain reliable and scalable automation frameworks.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
API Testing
- Test REST APIs using appropriate testing tools.
- Validate request and response data.
- Verify authentication, authorization, and error handling.
- Test edge cases and API reliability.
AI & Intelligent Application Validation
- Validate AI-generated outputs for consistency, accuracy, formatting, and expected behaviour.
- Test prompt-based workflows across different scenarios.
- Identify inconsistencies and unexpected AI responses.
- Collaborate with developers to improve AI quality and reliability.
Quality Assurance Process
- Create and maintain detailed test plans and test documentation.
- Maintain regression test libraries.
- Participate in sprint planning and requirement discussions.
- Ensure software meets acceptance criteria before release.
- Assist in improving QA standards and best practices across projects.
Defect Management
- Report clear, reproducible bugs with supporting evidence.
- Prioritize issues based on business impact.
- Work closely with developers during bug resolution.
- Perform regression verification after fixes.
Performance & Compatibility Testing
- Validate application performance under different conditions.
- Perform browser compatibility testing.
- Test software across multiple screen sizes and devices.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and usability issues.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with manual software testing.
- Experience creating test cases and test plans.
- Experience with API testing.
- Knowledge of browser developer tools.
- Familiarity with SQL for data validation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Technical Skills
Experience with one or more of the following:
- Playwright
- Cypress
- Selenium
- Postman
- Bruno
- JavaScript or TypeScript
- Git
- CI/CD concepts
- Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar
- Bug tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, ClickUp, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- Experience testing SaaS products, web applications, enterprise software, or AI-powered applications.
- Experience with automation testing frameworks is highly preferred.
