Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong expertise in SQL and cloud-based data engineering. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions.
GCP experience is highly preferred, while candidates with strong hands-on experience in AWS or Microsoft Azure are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and processing.
Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models to support analytics and reporting requirements.
Build and maintain end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines in cloud environments.
Work with cloud-native data engineering services to manage large-scale data workloads.
Ensure data quality, integrity, reliability, and performance across data pipelines.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize ETL/ELT workflows.
Collaborate with data analysts, software engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
Follow cloud security, governance, and data engineering best practices.
Mandatory Skills:
Expert-level SQL proficiency – Non-negotiable
Advanced SQL query development and optimization.
Complex joins, aggregations, subqueries, and data transformations.
SQL-based data pipeline development.
Strong understanding of relational databases and data modelling.
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes.
Preferred Skills:
Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and services such as:
BigQuery
Cloud Storage
Dataflow
Cloud Composer
Pub/Sub
Dataproc.
Candidates with equivalent hands-on experience in AWS or Microsoft Azure are also eligible.
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts.
Experience working with large-scale structured and semi-structured datasets.
Knowledge of cloud security, monitoring, and performance optimization.
Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
Required Experience:
4+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data engineering role.
Strong hands-on experience with SQL-based data engineering.
Experience designing and implementing end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines.
Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform, with GCP preferred.
