Job Description
- Lead the planning and implementation of enterprise Commerce and Content & Commerce transformation projects utilizing Adobe Commerce integrated with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)/ EDS.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, merchandising teams, marketing, architects, UX designers, and engineering teams to define the product vision and strategy for digital commerce platforms.
- Own and manage the Commerce product backlog, prioritizing Epics, Features, and User Stories to maximize customer and business value.
- Translate business requirements into detailed user stories with functional and technical acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with Adobe Commerce capabilities.
- Lead discovery workshops to identify business processes, customer journeys, product catalog requirements, and integration dependencies.
- Define API contracts, review GraphQL/REST payloads, and validate JSON mapping between Adobe Commerce services and frontend applications.
- Work closely with frontend teams to ensure accurate mapping of commerce data (products, pricing, inventory, promotions, customer information) into reusable UI components.
- Partner with marketing teams to deliver personalized shopping experiences using Adobe Experience Cloud capabilities including Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, and Adobe Journey Optimizer.
- Analyze commerce analytics and customer behavior to identify optimization opportunities across Product Listing Pages (PLP), Product Detail Pages (PDP), Search, Cart, and Checkout.
- Drive feature recommendations including personalization, merchandising, product discovery, promotions, subscriptions, loyalty, and omnichannel commerce capabilities.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery across Commerce, Content, UX, QA, and Engineering workstreams.
- Demonstrate business value through post-release KPI analysis, customer adoption metrics, and Value Realization reports.
- Translate discovery outputs into implementation roadmaps with clearly defined milestones, dependencies, and release plans.
Senior Adobe Commerce Product Owner
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Adobe Commerce Product Owner to lead enterprise Commerce and Content & Commerce transformation initiatives. The Product Owner will be responsible for defining product strategy, prioritizing features, and delivering scalable commerce experiences built on Adobe Commerce and Adobe Experience Manager.
This role requires close collaboration with Business, Marketing, Merchandising, UX, Architecture, Development, QA, and Customer Experience teams to deliver modern omnichannel commerce solutions supporting enterprise digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Vision & Strategy
- Understand the product vision for Adobe Commerce initiatives.
- Lead discovery workshops to identify business capabilities, customer journeys, and future-state commerce architecture.
- Define MVPs and phased delivery strategies for Commerce transformation programs.
- Product Backlog Management
- Create, prioritize, and maintain the Adobe Commerce product backlog.
- Write detailed Epics, Features, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria covering both functional and technical requirements.
- Ensure stories include API dependencies, frontend behavior, validation rules, and non-functional requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to clarify implementation details and remove delivery blockers.
- Commerce Solution Ownership
- Own the end-to-end customer commerce journey across:
- Product Catalog
- Product Listing Pages (PLP)
- Product Detail Pages (PDP)
- Search & Navigation
- Product Recommendations
- Cart
- Checkout
- Customer Account

- Loyalty & Subscription Features
- Ensure seamless integration between content-driven experiences and transactional commerce capabilities.
- Technical Collaboration
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and Technical Leads to define scalable Adobe Commerce architecture.
- Review GraphQL and REST API contracts.
- Validate JSON payloads exchanged between Adobe Commerce, AEM, and frontend applications.
- Define frontend component mapping for Commerce APIs and ensure alignment between backend data structures and UI implementation.
- Coordinate integrations with enterprise platforms including:
- Product Information Management (PIM)
- Digital Asset Management (DAM)
- OMS, Payment Gateways, Tax Services, Search Platforms
- Content & Commerce Integration
- Collaborate with content teams to define ownership between Content and Commerce.
- Work with Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, and Commerce Integration Framework (CIF).
- Ensure consistent customer experience across marketing content and commerce transactions.
- Define reusable commerce-enabled content components.
- Customer Experience & Analytics (Good to have)
- Monitor customer behavior using Adobe Analytics and commerce dashboards.
- Identify opportunities to improve conversion, engagement, and checkout success.
- Define experimentation strategies using A/B testing and personalization.
- Measure feature adoption and customer value realization.
- Stakeholder Management
- Facilitate prioritization sessions with executive stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment across multiple delivery teams.
- Agile Delivery
- Lead Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Track delivery progress using Jira and Confluence.
- Ensure readiness of stories before sprint commitment.
Qualifications
Required
- 6+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Digital Commerce Consultant.
- 3+ years of experience delivering Adobe Commerce or enterprise eCommerce platforms.
- Strong understanding of Content & Commerce integration.
- Experience with Product Catalog, Pricing, Promotions, Checkout, Customer Accounts, and Omnichannel Commerce.
- Good understanding of GraphQL, REST APIs, JSON payloads, and frontend component mapping.
- Experience working with Agile Scrum methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Figma, and digital product lifecycle management.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Adobe Commerce Business Practitioner or Adobe Commerce Developer certification.
- Adobe Experience Manager Business Practitioner certification.
