Job Description – Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Role Overview
SAN Telequip Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced, visionary and execution-oriented Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead its technology, product development and R&D functions. The CTO will define the company's long-term technology roadmap, drive innovation, build world-class industrial networking and communication products, and align R&D initiatives with business strategy. The role requires deep expertise in embedded systems, industrial networking, Industrial IoT, cybersecurity and product engineering, together with strong customer engagement and leadership capabilities. This position shall initially lead the Team of 6-7 to start with and immediately would requires to ramp up to the Team size of 10-12 considering companies plan to expedite R & D Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and execute a 5–10 year technology and product roadmap aligned with SAN Telequip's strategic vision.
· Own end-to-end product strategy for Industrial Ethernet Switches, Routers, Cellular Routers, Modems, Protocol Converters, Media Converters, Terminal Servers, IIoT Gateways, Edge Computing platforms, Industrial Cybersecurity products and IEC 61850 solutions.
· Lead development of common technology platforms including Embedded Linux, OpenWRT/Debian, common hardware platforms, firmware frameworks, web GUI, OTA management, Device Management Platform / Network Management Software (NMS). AI Analytics Platform.
· Lead end-to-end R&D covering hardware, embedded Linux, firmware, networking software, cloud/NMS, and cybersecurity.
· Drive customer-centric innovation by engaging with key customers, partners and business teams to convert market needs into competitive products.
· Establish engineering excellence through architecture reviews, design reviews, code reviews, verification & validation, DFM/DFA, reliability engineering and structured product development processes.
· Ensure compliance with CE, BIS, MTCTE, UL, FCC, RoHS, EMC/EMI and industrial standards including IEC 61850, IEC 62443, Modbus, DNP3, BACnet, MQTT and SNMP.
· Drive adoption of Industrial Ethernet, IEC 61850, IEC 62443, TSN, Edge Computing, AI-enabled networking, and next-generation communication technologies.
· Deliver products meeting global certifications including IEC 61850-3, EN 50155, EN 50121-4, CE, UL, BIS, MTCTE and related standards.
· Drive indigenous technology development, platform reuse, intellectual property creation and patent generation.
· Build and mentor high-performing hardware, firmware, software, QA and testing teams while fostering an innovation-driven culture.
· Develop strategic partnerships with semiconductor vendors, technology companies, certification agencies, universities and start-ups.
· Drive cost optimisation, manufacturability, product quality, reliability and faster time-to-market.

Qualifications
· BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecommunication or related discipline.
· 15–20 years of R&D experience with at least 5 years in a senior technology leadership role.
· Demonstrated success in industrial networking, embedded systems, industrial automation, IIoT or communication products.
