We are looking for a senior technology leader to drive the development of AI-enabled physical products within the air conditioning and refrigeration domain.
This position focuses on embedding AI/ML into products, controllers and connected devices. It is not a manufacturing analytics, factory digitalisation, enterprise AI or business-process automation role.
The selected leader will define the technology roadmap and lead the development of intelligent products that improve energy efficiency, automate product controls, detect faults, predict equipment health and enhance the overall customer experience.
Ideal Experience
We are looking for professionals with 18–25 years of experience in product engineering, embedded systems, electronics, connected devices or related technology areas.
Candidates must have previously integrated AI/ML into a physical product and taken at least one AI-enabled feature from concept or POC through engineering validation and commercial deployment.
Relevant experience may include:
• Embedded AI, edge AI or machine-learning deployment in connected products
• Smart thermostats, smart meters, HVAC controls, appliances or similar devices
• Embedded software architecture, firmware, sensors and controllers
• RTOS platforms such as FreeRTOS, ThreadX, QNX or Embedded Linux
• Wi-Fi, BLE, Matter/CHIP, MQTT and REST-based connectivity
• Device, edge and cloud processing architectures
• MLOps, remote model deployment, monitoring and lifecycle management
• AI-enabled processors, NPUs and embedded accelerators
• Product cybersecurity, secure boot, encryption and key management
• Design FMEA, Software FMEA and new-product development processes
• Leadership of AI/ML, embedded software, firmware and connected-product teams
Candidates from HVAC, refrigeration, building automation, smart appliances, automotive electronics, smart meters, medical devices, consumer electronics or IoT-enabled product organisations may be relevant.
Key Responsibilities
• Define the roadmap for AI-enabled and connected products
• Identify use cases for intelligent controls, energy optimisation and predictive diagnostics
• Lead the integration of AI models with sensors, firmware, controllers and cloud platforms
• Decide the appropriate balance between on-device, edge and cloud processing
• Take AI-enabled features from concept to commercially deployed products
• Establish model deployment, monitoring and MLOps practices
• Work with semiconductor, cloud and technology partners
• Build and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams
Qualification
A bachelor’s degree in Electronics discipline.
PG in Computer Science, Electronics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Embedded Systems or a related discipline preferred.
